We are an independent evangelical church whose aim is to make Jesus central to our lives and our relationships, and to provide an open and welcoming community within which anyone can explore what it means to be a Christian in today's world.
Religious Society of Friends also known as Quakers
Quakers share a way of life rather than a set of beliefs. We seek to experience God directly, within ourselves and in our relationships with others and the world around us. These direct encounters with the Divine are where Quakers find meaning and purpose.
St Mary’s has a very active church life and a committed congregation. We would be pleased to welcome you to any of our services or groups. If you need help, advice or just someone to listen, then please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the clergy or the parish office via our website.

New Life Church is a lively, family focused and encouraging environment. It is an ideal place to meet with God and to find hope, purpose and to realise your potential in God. We have a vibrant youth work, an anointed worship band and a vision to see people released into God's purpose.
Like other churches in Saffron Walden, the Catholic church has a lively and numerous congregation, drawing its parishioners from a geographically large parish, stretching from Steeple Bumpstead to Chrishall, from Great Chesterford to Newport and forming part of the North Essex Deanery of the Diocese of Brentwood.
A church that respects all ages and values the gifts they bring equally. Our worshipping community is a broad and inclusive church which welcomes challenge, exploration, participation and debate and is fully committed to the ecumenical process.
